Fabric Graphics

Digitally printed fabric is extremely popular for use in trade show displays because it's light weight, durable, washable and offers vibrant color. Produced through a dye sublimation printing process, the inks actually become part of the fabric so the image can't be scratched, and wrinkles can be steamed or ironed out, unlike other materials where a crease could ruin the graphic. Another reason fabric trade show graphics are popular is because they can be folded for shipping and storage, so a large graphic can be made in a single piece instead of in multiple panels. This makes them easy to set up and inexpensive to ship.

Fabric is also popular in SEG frames for hanging or wall mounted displays in retail environments, restaurants, showrooms, airports, malls, and other places where the upscale look of fabric is desired. This type of display offers the look of a rigid, framed graphic without the weight and shipping cost. Most large size rigid prints aren't practical to ship because of the extra cost, and once a certain size is reached, freight shipping would be required adding even more to the cost. By utilizing an SEG frame and fabric graphics, the shipping cost is minimal, graphic changes become inexpensive and easy, and there's very little chance of the graphic getting damaged in transit, unlike rigid boards. Backlit displays are a particularly popular use for dye sublimated backlit fabric graphics. This printing process produces rich, vibrant color and dense blacks that make for eye catching displays that can be used in any of these environments and are sure to attract attention.

While there are different types of dye sublimation, the most common type, which we offer, works with polyester fabrics. The process produces excellent color, but because dye inks are used, these graphics don't have very good UV resistance. They can be used outside, but they will fade much more quickly than graphics printed with pigmented inks, so typically they are used for indoor display or short term outdoor display. Feather banners are a good example of an outdoor application for dye sublimated graphics, where they typically only last 6 months to 1 year before the fading becomes noticeable and they have to be replaced.

There are a huge variety of polyester fabrics available that can look and feel like almost anything. While there are many uses for digitally printed fabrics beyond trade shows and retail display, those are the most common so our selection of fabrics is geared towards those applications. If you have a particular need for a fabric that isn't shown here, please contact us and we'll help you find an appropriate option for your project.
