Hahnemuhle's Natural Line of digital fine art papers are focused on medias made from unique raw materials. The bamboo, hemp, and agave papers are all made from cellulose fibers from these plants, blended with cotton. These plants are sustainable, grow quickly and don't require any pesticides. This means more cellulose can be produced on the same amount of land compared with other materials, and these plants all require much less water with helps preserve valuable resources and makes them even more environmentally friendly.
Hahnemuhle Bamboo is a 290 gsm watercolor paper with a soft, lightly textured felt surface. It is made from 90% bamboo fiber and 10% cotton. The bamboo fibers provide a natural white, warm-toned paper without optical brighteners. It's acid and lignin free and meets the most exacting requirements for longevity. Available in widths up to 50".
Approximate longevity of 60-100 years under glass in gallery lighting conditions, and greater than 200 years if displayed under UV filtered glass.
Favorite Features
Extremely eco-friendly and sustainable. Excellent archival properties. It's an interesting paper because of it's composition, but it also produces excellent color.
Drawbacks
Like all paper prints, it should be framed under glass.
