Designer Canvas
Product Questions
Is it possible to order one trimmed to be borderless?
If you're trying to frame a canvas behind glass, and that's why you want to trim it to the edge of the image, I would recommend leaving a small margin of canvas and adding a matt to cover that margin, much like you would do with a paper print.
If you'd like the print borderless, just enter the same dimensions for the printed and finished size, and it will be trimmed to the edge of the image.
Details
This polyester/cotton blend canvas is an ideal choice for gallery wrapped canvas prints. Available in gloss, satin, or matte finishes, it's a heavyweight canvas designed for high quality printing, but priced to make large volume jobs affordable. Since it's printed with eco-solvent inks, it is durable enough to be cleaned with water and mild detergent without requiring a top coat, and like all our giclee canvas, it won’t crack when stretched or mounted. The gloss finish offers the best color depth with maximum contrast. The satin finish offers good color depth with reduced glare, and the matte finish has the lowest contrast with the least amount of glare off the surface. They are printed at 1440 dpi with 6 color eco-solvent inks for a large color gamut with excellent print quality. Available in widths up to 60".
Approximate longevity of 50 years in gallery lighting conditions.
Favorite Features
It's a good balance between an economical price and a heavyweight canvas.
Drawbacks
This canvas has more texture than the Artist Canvas, so fine details are more likely to be obscured. It contains optical brighteners, which can affect longevity.
Best Applications
Designer canvas prints for home or office use. Photo and art prints that are to be gallery wrapped. Economical canvas prints that still need to be printed on a heavyweight canvas.
