This clear polyester film has a special repositionable adhesive that makes it easy to apply without bubbles, and it can be removed and reapplied as long as the adhesive is kept clean. Designed for indoor use, it normally is printed for face mounting to the inside of a window to be viewed from the outside with a white flood coat for opacity that covers the entire graphic. It can also be printed so the back of the graphic will adhere to the glass for viewing inside, and it can be printed so only the printed areas have a white flood coat leaving the unprinted areas clear. Available in widths up to 54".
The product photo above shows a sample face mounted to glass with a white flood coat behind the image area. This also demonstrates how the option of printing the flood coat behind just an image will look if it's done without a spot color layer or separate channel. You can see the white around the image of the orange looks jagged in this situation.
We recommend the white floodcoat behind all or part of the design when the decals are being used for advertising purposes because they make the image much easier to see in a window.

Clear window graphics are printed so the colors look correct when installed on glass and light passes through them. If you want your design printed so it looks correct without illumination, make a note of this in the Special Instructions area.

Drawbacks
It's designed for indoor use only, so it's not a good option for outdoor decals mounted with the back to the glass for viewing from the outside. The material doesn't have the same clarity as a clear material with a normal adhesive as the air release feature creates a texture that makes the material less clear. See the product images for reference. Removability is guaranteed for a year, so it's not a good option for graphics that need to stay in place long term as they will become more difficult to remove.
Best Applications
Short to medium term window graphics that are face mounted to the inside surface of the window to be viewed on the outside. Easy to apply window graphics that will be installed by inexperienced people.

Installation Instructions
These instructions are provided for our customers that want to install their own window decals. Tools you will need: Soft squeegee or protect the image with paper (hard squeegee will damage the print), and masking tape for larger graphics. You can also use your hands to apply the decal, but it will be more difficult to get all the air out by hand.
This material should be applied dry. Because the micro-grooves can trap water, wet mounting is not recommended.
General Notes
- Use a soft squeegee or protect the image with paper during installation to prevent damage to the printed image.
- The ideal temperature of the air and glass would be between 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Graphics should be trimmed so that they are at least 1/8" away from window frames and seals to allow for expansion. The graphic will not adhere to silicone edging.
Surface Preparation
- All surfaces should be considered dirty and must be cleaned prior to installation. Clean the area where the decals are to be applied with a household, non-ammonia based cleaner. We recommend an alcohol based cleaner such as isopropyl alcohol or equivalent. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
Applying the Window Graphic
- For smaller graphics, you can simply peel off the liner and stick the decal to the window, starting on one edge and smoothing the decal onto the window.
- For larger graphics, position your decal in the desired location and tack into place on each end with small pieces of masking tape.
- Peel back about 2” of the release liner away from the top edge on the adhesive side of your decal.
- Cut that section of the release liner off and discard or fold it under so it's not in the way.
- Squeegee down the exposed edge of the decal starting from the center and working towards the edges. Let the squeegee cause the contact with the mounting surface and brush from the center outward using overlapping 45 degree angled strokes.
- Flip the graphic up, or have an assistant hold it up and start to peel back the remaining release liner.
- Pull back a few inches of the release liner at a time and squeegee the graphic into place using the same technique as above.
- If you get an air bubble, you can either lift the decal enough to release the air, or if the bubbles are not too large, you can pop them with a pin and squeegee the bubble toward the pin hole to squeeze out the air.
- Once the entire decal is applied, squeegee the entire decal once more to ensure a firm bond with the surface.
- Some cloudyness to the clear areas of the decal is normal because of the air release feature, but much of this will go away after a few days.
Re-Applying the Window Decal
- You can easily remove and re-apply the decal by peeling up a corner of the decal, being careful not to damage the edge. Using a thin object like a knife or credit card to lift the corner of the graphic will help make sure you don't fold or damage the corner while peeling it up.
- Once the corner is lifted, simply peel the graphic off the window and follow the instructions above to reinstall.
- Avoid touching the adhesive surface and make sure the window surface is clean before re-installing as the adhesive is only reusable as long as it remains clean and tacky.
FAQ
I just received my print and it's too dark and the color is wrong.
Clear window graphics are printed by default to allow for illumination through the print, either from the sun in exterior windows or interior lights. In order for the colors to not look washed out in these situations, the colors will look too dark when there is no light through the print. prints are profiled so the color looks correct when the graphic is illuminated, so you need to backlight the graphic for the color to look correct. See the question below for more details on this, but other than Day/Night backlit graphics, colors will always look too dark when the graphic isn't llluminated with a standard amount of lighting and often some colors will shift as well. If the graphics are printed so they look correct without lighting, they will look washed out when lit. Choose the Day/Night Backlit Graphic for displays that look good whether or not they are illuminated.
