WindSign Portable Sign Holders
WindSign outdoor sign frames make great portable signs for directing traffic or attracting customers to your store or event. They are an upgraded alternative to A-Frame signs that are even more stable in the wind and easier to move when weighted thanks to the built in wheels. The sign face connects to the base with springs, which allows the sign to flex in strong winds and return to an upright position, so it's virtually impossible to tip over, even in the strongest winds.
These portable plastic sign holders have the following features:
- Springs connect the portable sign frame to the base allowing the sign to resist strong winds and return to an upright position. The WindSign II resists head-on winds up to 60 mph, and the WindSign Deluxe up to 50 mph, depending on how much sand is added to the base.
- "Quick change" feature enables sign blanks to be changed in seconds and stay securely in place. The new Stay Tab design on the WindSign II and WindSign Deluxe requires no clips or special treatments to hold the graphics in place.
- Plastic base with factory installed wheels can be weighted with up to 115 lbs of dry sand.
- Attractive plastic sign frame design eliminates torn miters and jammed latches. Won't rust or splinter.
- Two-sided (hold two signs per frame). Can accommodate coroplast, or any sign material up to 3/16" thick. See Specifications tab for more details.

Setup Instructions
Normal production time is 4-5 days if you're ordering a graphic with your display hardware. Hardware only orders usually ship in 1-2 days. During the order process you will be asked if you have a specific due date, and if you do, we will adjust your shipping method, if necessary, to get your order to you on time. If you need your printing order even quicker, we also have a rush service. If you authorize rush charges, we can get your order shipped in 1-2 days. Rush charges are $75 per order. If we're able to meet your deadline without bumping other jobs, we won't actually charge the rush charge, but you must authorize the rush to guarantee delivery.
We recommend that bitmap images such as digital photos be 150dpi at the actual print size in order to look good from close range. Larger display graphics tend to viewed from further away, so if that's the case, lower resolution files of 72-100 dpi at the actual print size can be used and still look good from 5 feet away. We use special software to enlarge smaller images to their full print size, but the larger the original file, the better the results will be. If you're images are smaller than we recommend, which is common for larger prints, it's important to consider viewing distance as well. A print that shows a lack of resolution due to enlargement up close, might look just fine from arms length. We've printed images at 16 feet wide from 8 megapixel cameras that look very good from five feet away, so where a print will be displayed and how close you expect it to be viewed from are important to consider when deciding how large a print can be made. When in doubt, send us your file and we'll examine it and let you know how large we think it can go and still look good.
Since the base can be filled with sand, and the sign face is mounted on springs, it's very stable. The WindSign II can withstand head-on winds up to 60 mph, and the WindSign Deluxe can withstand head-on winds up to 50 mph. See the Specifications tab for more details.
The setup is very easy and takes about 5 minutes, and it can be done by a single person. Signs are held in place by slots at the top and bottom, so graphics can be inserted in seconds with no tools. Two sign clips are provided with each WindSign I to help secure the edges of the graphics in the center of the frame for extra security. The WindSign II and Deluxe have Stay Tabs built in to the frame and require no clips.
