One of the more popular trends in large format digital printing is the creation of removable floor decal graphics. Popular in grocery, discount, and retail stores, factories, and for trade shows and special events and exhibits, floor decals take advantage of some of the only remaining unused advertising space by putting ads or directional information on the floor.
Good floor decal laminates need to be slip resistant, and preferably UL listed as such, and scratch resistant so that heavy traffic doesn't ruin them. They should also hold up to common floor cleaning chemicals and methods. The floor decal adhesives should hold the graphics firmly in place, but come off without leaving adhesive residue when removed. All our floor decal materials meet these requirements, unlike the cheap materials you commonly see used in grocery stores. We have a line up of materials that are designed for various length of use and for application to various surfaces including carpet and concrete. Promotional Floor Decal - 7 mil This floor decal material makes scuff-resistant, UL 410 classified slip-resistant interior floor graphics that are ideal for 30-90 days of use. Our least expensive floor decal, it’s perfect for shorter term promotions or longer term use in light traffic areas. The lighter weight means even intricate designs can easily be digitally die cut, and it is removable without leaving an adhesive residue. |

It offers outstanding resistance to dirt and wear from high foot traffic, and can be scrubbed, cleaned and waxed during routine maintenance of the floor. Our Recommendations
All our floor decal material are designed to be durable, have excellent image quality, and can be easily removed within their rated life span without leaving any adhesive residue. So, the differences are really about how long you want the graphics to last, and where you plan to use them. For regular floor surfaces, our Promotional Floor Decal is an excellent choice for graphics that need to last from 30-90 days, although in lighter traffic areas, this product can last much longer. Some of our customer have used this product in heavier traffic areas for 4 months and said it was still in good shape, but 30-90 days is what the manufacturer recommends. The Economy Floor Decal is rated at 3-8 months in standard traffic areas, and the Premium products are rated at 4-9 months in medium to heavy traffic areas. The 3M Floor decal isn't warranted any longer than even the Economy Floor Decal, but it's the heaviest material and would be a good choice for extremely heavy foot traffic or for situations where you wanted the graphic to last as long as possible outside the recommended life span. So, the best idea is to choose a product based on the amount of traffic you expect and the length of time you want it to last.
Obviously, for carpet or sidewalk use, you should choose the corresponding product.
