The decals category is fairly broad and somewhat vague, since so many types of prints could be described as decals. In reality, all adhesive vinyl prints are decals, which would include vehicle graphics and wraps, floor graphics, wall graphics, and more. However, on this page we'll discuss the items more commonly thought of as decals such as identification, decoration or advertising decals for helmets, machinery, sports equipment, vending machines, gasoline pumps, ATVs, motocross bikes, race cars, boats, jet skis, snowmobiles, etc. as well as bumper stickers and vinyl patches.
Decal graphics are simple and inexpensive way to add logos or identification to machinery or equipment. They are also useful for safety or warning labels, operator instructions or simply as decoration. On sports gear such as helmets, snowboards, skateboards, or bikes, decals can be used to customize the appearance of the equipment or add a team logo or identity. We have a wide selection of materials that can be used for decals, with some that are designed for very specific uses or environments. For instance, our Xtreme Decal Vinyl was specifically designed to be used on difficult surfaces and low energy plastics, like helmets and parts of ATVs, motocross bikes and race cars. It's extra thick and durable as well so it will hold up better than normal decal materials for these applications where rough treatment is normal.
We also have the unique Pro-Patch material that can be used to create flexible, sewable, non-adhesive vinyl patches and graphics. Once printed, you can sew Pro-Patch into garments, bags or other textiles for advertising, sponsorship, or identification. Some uses for Pro-Patch are motorcycle and snowmobile seats, team uniform patches, bar stool covers, automotive headrests, sponsor ski vests, tire covers, and much more.
Since our printing process is digital, there are no minimum quantities so even if you only need a few decals, you can still benefit from our wide range of materials and superior print quality without spending a forture. Arlon 8000 Adhesive Vinyl - 3.8 mil This satin white engineered vinyl is designed for graphics that will be installed in cold temperatures or on hard to stick to surfaces. These pressure sensitive laminates are available in gloss, luster or matte finishes. They offer surface protection and can change the finish of your print to suit your display environment. When a high-gloss finish is desired, and glare is not a concern, gloss is the appropriate choice. Keep in mind that a gloss finish will show flaws, scratches and fingerprints more than any other laminate. Luster and matte offer the same protection without these disadvantages.

Cast Vinyl Laminate - 2 Mil
This laminate offers protection against water, abrasion, chemicals and UV exposure. Since it is thicker, it offers better physical protection than Fluorex or AccuShield, and is extremely flexible, which makes it the protection of choice for vehicle graphics. Our Recommendations
For temporary decals, bumper stickers, or tight budgets, our Economy Calendered Vinyl without a protective laminate is an excellent choice. It comes with either a removable or permanent adhesive, so you can choose the one that suits your needs. The removable adheisve will not leave any residue behind when the decal is removed, so for temporary situations or where you want to be able to cleanly remove the decal, that would be the best choice. Without a laminate, the print is susceptible to scratching or abrasion, so it won't last as long, but if it's not used in a harsh environement, it should still last for 2-3 years. If scratching or abrasion are a concern, or if you want the print to last longer before fading, then a laminate is recommended. The regular vinyl laminate will give surface protection from scratches, and the cast vinyl laminate adds increased UV resistance to extend the life of the decal, and it's very conformable which makes it the best choice if your decals are not going on flat surfaces or for maximum fade resistance. The Premium Calendared Vinyls have a higher quality adhesive, so they will hold up better without peeling off over a longer period of time, so they would be recommended combined with the cast vinyl laminate when you want the maximum life from your decal.
For maximum life combined with maximum conformability, the Avery EZ is the best choice. This is the material we generally use for vehicle wraps so it offers excellent image quality, comes with a five year warranty and is guaranteed to come off without harming the mounting surface. This material already includes the Avery cast vinyl laminate, and it's also a great choice for decals on virtually any surface that does not get a great deal of abuse.
In harsh environments such as use on motocross bikes or sports helmets, the Xtreme Decal Vinyl is the ideal choice since it was designed for this exact purpose. It also has a special adheisve that allows it to stick to rough surfaces and low energy plastics that most decals won't stick to.
The 3M 680 Reflective Adhesive Vinyl is the only real choice for a retroreflective decals. This material appears to light up at night when lights reflect off it so it's great for emergency vehicles, police cars, safety gear or any situation where night time visibility is desired.
